Shashwath Solution is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer - Linux BIOS to design and maintain embedded software for Linux-based platforms. You will enhance system functionality, resolve defects, and secure high-performance operation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes C/C++, embedded Linux, kernel/driver integration, and secure development practices across Yocto and Buildroot environments. Prior experience with Secure Boot/Update is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in embedded software development on Linux-based platforms.
• Strong understanding of Linux architecture, system programming and embedded device integration.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as Secure Boot, Secure Update and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for Linux BIOS and embedded Linux platforms.
• Design, implement, and optimise software components using C/C++.
• Develop new features and resolve software defects, performance issues and security vulnerabilities.
• Implement and maintain multithreaded applications and IPC mechanisms.
• Work closely with Linux kernel and driver components to support system functionality and hardware integration.
• Support the build, customization and maintenance of embedded Linux distributions such as Yocto and Buildroot.
• Follow secure software development practices, including support for Secure Boot and Secure Update.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during design, development, testing and release phases.
• Maintain source code and development artefacts using Git.
