Job summary

VARITE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED is looking for an Embedded Linux driver expert to join our onsite teams in India. This role involves kernel-level development across multiple subsystems in a dynamic client environment in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

You will work on driver development for graphics, audio, video, Ethernet, and power management, with exposure to Yocto and PCIe drivers. The position is onsite with 5 openings, offering a competitive CTC and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong kernel internals and kernel programming experience.
• Hands-on experience with complex kernel debugging.
• Experience with boot flow and kernel concepts.

Responsibilities

• Embedded Linux driver/kernel development.
• C, IPC, DMA driver development.
• Kernel mode driver programming in Linux across domains.
• Graphics drivers DRM/KMS, OpenGL, Vulkan, Mesa.
• Multi Media-Video drivers Vaapi, GStreamer, V4L2.
• Power management – S0ix concepts.
• Display driver development – X, Wayland, Weston.
• Audio subsystem, ALSA ASOC, I2S/TDM.
• Yocto development.
• Ethernet driver development.
• Kernel programming and device driver debugging.

Essential Job Functions:

• Embedded Linux driver/kernel development
• C, IPC, DMA driver development
• Kernel mode driver programming in Linux in any one of the driver development domains
• Graphics driver DRM/KMS, OpenGL, Vulkan, Mesa
• Multi Media-Video driver – Vaapi, GStreamer, V4L2
• Power management – System to RAM, S0ix3
• Display Driver development – X, Wayland, Weston, Display driver
• Audio sub-system, Audio drivers, frameworks and ALSA SOC (ASOC), Audio protocols like I2S/TDM
• Yocto development
• Ethernet Driver – Network driver development
• Kernel programming and Device drivers like MIPI, Ethernet, Video, Audio, GFX, or any PCIe driver development
• Complex kernel debugging
• Boot flow and Kernel concepts

Qualifications:

• Strong Kernel internals, concepts and hands-on expertise on Kernel programming
