Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Embedded C and C++.
• Embedded Linux development with kernel concepts, drivers, and system programming.
• Yocto Linux experience, BSP customization, recipe development.
• Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Wi-Fi interfaces.
• Experience with BACnet MS/TP & IP and Modbus RTU/TCP.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for Linux-based HVAC controllers and gateway devices.
• Implement and integrate communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, REST) and device management.
• Develop D-Bus APIs, IPC services, and device management frameworks.
• Build gateway functionalities including onboarding, remote monitoring, and load control features.
• Ensure secure communications with TLS, certificates, and credential management.
• Maintain build environments using Yocto, Make, and CMake; configure Linux services with systemd.
• Debug protocol stacks, device interfaces, and system-level software issues.
• Collaborate with hardware, cloud, testing, and product teams to deliver quality products.

About the Role

LG Soft India is seeking experienced Embedded Linux Software Engineers to develop next-generation HVAC Controllers and Building Management System (BMS) solutions. The role involves designing and developing Linux-based gateway and controller platforms, integrating industry-standard communication protocols, implementing secure connectivity, and enabling scalable building automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for Linux-based HVAC controllers and gateway devices.
• Implement and integrate communication protocols such as BACnet MS/TP & IP, Modbus RTU/TCP, MQTT, REST APIs, TCP/UDP, and RS-485.
• Develop D-Bus APIs, IPC services, and device management frameworks.
• Build gateway functionalities including device onboarding, remote monitoring, power management, and load control features.
• Implement secure communication mechanisms using TLS, certificates, and credential management.
• Develop and maintain software build environments using Yocto, Make, and CMake.
• Configure and manage Linux services using systemd and deployment frameworks.
• Debug protocol stacks, device interfaces, and system-level software issues.
• Collaborate with hardware, cloud, testing, and product teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Participate in code reviews, system integration, and performance optimization activities.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Embedded C and C++ programming .
• Expertise in Embedded Linux development , including kernel concepts, device drivers, system programming, and device management.
• Experience with Yocto Linux , BSP customization, recipe development, and hardware adaptation.
• Knowledge of communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and Wi-Fi .
• Experience with BACnet MS/TP & IP , Modbus RTU/TCP , and industrial communication protocols.
• Hands-on experience with JSON, XML, YAML , and SQLite .
• Good understanding of IPC mechanisms , D-Bus services, networking concepts, and Linux system services.
• Experience in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems and communication protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Domain experience in HVAC, Building Automation Systems (BAS), or Building Management Systems (BMS) .
• Knowledge of secure communication frameworks, TLS/SSL, certificates, and authentication mechanisms.
• Familiarity with cloud connectivity technologies and IoT gateway development.
• Experience with remote device management and monitoring solutions.

Educational Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
