Job summary

TekPillar is seeking an Embedded Device Driver Engineer in Bangalore with 3–10 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and debug Linux device drivers for diverse interfaces. The role emphasizes kernel-level work, BSP/board bring-up, U-Boot, and extensive hardware debugging.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in C/Embedded C, familiar with ARM/RISC-V architectures, and comfortable with Yocto and Git for source control.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Linux device driver development.
• Strong C / Embedded C programming skills.
• Knowledge of Linux kernel, Linux internals, and embedded Linux.
• Experience with BSP and board bring-up.
• Experience with U-Boot/Bootloader.
• Knowledge of ARM/RISC-V architectures.
• Experience with Yocto, Git, and hardware debugging.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain Linux Device Drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain Linux Device Drivers using C / Embedded C.
• Develop and debug device drivers for I2C, SPI, USB, PCIe, eMMC, Ethernet, Display, and Camera interfaces.
• Perform BSP, Board Bring-up, U-Boot, and Bootloader development.
• Work extensively with Linux Kernel, Linux Internals, and Kernel Architecture.
• Analyze hardware schematics and perform system-level debugging using JTAG, Signal Analyzers, and debugging tools.
• Work with ARM / RISC-V processor architectures.
• Use Yocto and Git for Embedded Linux development and source management.
