Job summary

JLL is seeking an experienced ELV SME to lead design, execution and commissioning of Extra Low Voltage systems for a Data Centre project in Gandhinagar. You will coordinate multi‑stakeholder teams, ensure quality and deliver ELV packages on time and within budget.

The role requires hands‑on ELV expertise across access control, CCTV, BMS, fire alarm, PA and structured cabling, with knowledge of data centre standards and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) in Electrical or Electronics & Communication preferred, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of ELV design, coordination and execution experience on commercial and data centre projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ELV subsystems: access control, CCTV, BMS, fire alarm, PA, structured cabling and other low‑voltage systems.
  • Experience with data centre infrastructure standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute).
  • Certifications in ELV/data centre infra or PM (PMP, BICSI) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and monitor ELV works across the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with design consultants and review drawings/SLDs for compliance.
  • Manage shop drawings, method statements and approvals with safety and quality in mind.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day ELV installation activities and ensure progress per drawings and schedules.
  • Establish QA/ITP programs and ensure MIRs are certified by consultants.
  • Track materials and manage long‑lead items against project timelines.
  • Monitor construction to ensure conformity with GFC drawings and BOQ.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning activities and maintain records.
  • Verify changes to works and obtain client approvals with proper documentation.
  • Facilitate smooth handover with O&M docs, warranties and training.

We are seeking an experienced ELV SME – to lead the design, execution, and commissioning of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for the Data Centre Project. This role requires a technical subject matter expert with hands‑on experience in data centre infrastructure projects who can coordinate multi‑stakeholder teams, ensure quality standards, and deliver ELV packages within scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of ELV systems including access control, CCTV, BMS, fire alarm, public address, structured cabling, and other low‑voltage systems critical to data centre operations.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Risk Management Plan, schedule, and monitor all ELV-related works throughout the project lifecycle. Identify potential risks early and propose effective mitigation strategies. Coordinate seamlessly with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain project momentum.

Design Coordination & Documentation Collaborate with design consultants to ensure timely delivery of all ELV system deliverables including coordination drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, and technical specifications. Review design documents for compliance with project requirements and data centre best practices.

Shop Drawing & Method Statement Management Collect shop drawings from ELV vendors/contractors, validate them with consultants, and issue approved drawings for execution. Obtain and secure approval for work method statements from contractors, ensuring alignment with safety and quality standards.

Execution & Monitoring Oversee day‑to‑day execution and monitoring of all ELV systems installation activities. Ensure work progresses according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules while maintaining high‑quality standards.

Quality Assurance & Control Establish and maintain the MEP Quality Manual and Inspection Testing Plans (ITPs). Ensure all Material Inspection Reports (MIRs) are certified and signed by consultants' representatives before materials are used on site. Implement robust documentation processes for all ELV equipment and systems.

Materials & Logistics Management Track delivery of ELV materials and maintain a comprehensive long lead items delivery tracker. Proactively identify and address potential supply chain delays that could impact project timelines.

Construction Compliance Monitor construction activities to verify conformity with approved GFC (Good for Construction) drawings and bills of quantities. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to design intent and specifications.

Testing & Commissioning Participate actively in testing and commissioning activities for all ELV systems. Maintain detailed testing certificates, checklists, and commissioning records to demonstrate system readiness and compliance.

Change Management Verify, evaluate, and implement changes to the works as required. Prepare recommendations for client approval, ensuring all variations are properly documented and authorized.

Project Closeout Obtain all relevant Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documents, manufacturer guarantees, warranties, and as‑built documentation. Ensure smooth handover of ELV packages to the client with complete documentation and training where required.

Required Qualifications

Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) – Electrical or Electronics & Communication preferred, or equivalent discipline.

Experience Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in ELV systems design, coordination, and execution, specifically on commercial and data centre projects. Demonstrated experience managing both high‑side (power) and low‑side (control) systems integration.

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of ELV systems including access control, CCTV surveillance, Building Management Systems (BMS), fire detection and alarm, public address/voice evacuation, structured cabling, audio‑visual systems, and security systems
  • Knowledge of data centre infrastructure standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier standards)
  • Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings, SLDs, and coordination documents
  • Experience with testing, commissioning, and validation protocols for ELV systems

Certifications (Preferred) Relevant certifications in ELV systems, data centre infrastructure, or project management (PMP, BICSI DCDC, etc.) would be advantageous.

Core Competencies

Technical Expertise Comprehensive knowledge of ELV field‑side installation and control‑side programming/integration. Ability to troubleshoot complex system integration challenges.

Design Management Strong capability to review, coordinate, and validate design deliverables from multiple consultants and ensure seamless integration across all ELV systems.

Execution & Quality Management Proven track record of delivering ELV projects on schedule while maintaining rigorous quality standards. Experience implementing quality assurance frameworks and inspection protocols.

Stakeholder Management Excellent coordination skills to manage relationships with contractors, consultants, clients, and internal teams. Ability to facilitate resolution of technical and commercial issues.

Communication Skills Clear and professional communication abilities, both written and verbal. Capable of preparing technical reports, presenting project updates, and facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholders.
