Job summary

Trigent Software in Bengaluru is seeking an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in electronic hardware development, circuit design, and testing. The role focuses on design, debug, and validation of circuits for Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS).

You will work on analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, interface AFE ICs, perform simulations, BOM generation, and support PCB layout with Altium Designer or OrCAD.

Qualifications

• Education: BE/BTech or ME/MTech in ECE or EEE.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Interface Analog Front-End (AFE) ICs, cell balancing circuits (active/passive), and battery protection logic.
• Perform component selection, circuit simulations, calculations, and BOM generation.
• Support multi-layer high-density PCB layout, component footprint creation, and Gerber release using Altium Designer or OrCAD.
• Conduct board bring-up, hardware debugging, and failure root-cause analysis using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab power supplies.
• Execute hardware validation plans, thermal verification, and prepare for regulatory/EMC compliance activities.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and testing teams across the product lifecycle.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Work Experience: 3 to 4 years of core hardware design experience (mandatory exposure to BMS/ESS architectures).


• Technical Expertise: Strong background in analog/digital circuit design, power supplies (DC-DC/LDOs), low-power microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, PIC), and serial communication protocols (CAN, UART, SPI, I2C).
