Job summary

OpenText is looking for a Software Engineer (EDI Developers) to work in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of EDI standards and extensive mapping knowledge, as well as the ability to work with stakeholders on developing EDI maps.

This role requires strong programming proficiency and communication skills, with responsibilities including development and debugging of EDI maps and preparing status reports.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
• Extensive mapping knowledge in GXS AI / BizTrans / Contivo.
• Good experience with XML, XSLT, and XPath.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on projects interacting with stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Develop and build inbound and outbound EDI maps using GXS AI.
• Prepare weekly and monthly metrics reports.

Skills

Excellent knowledge of EDI standards

Mapping knowledge in GXS AI / BizTrans / Contivo

Experience with XML, XSLT, and XPath

Software Engineer (EDI Developers) - Bangalore

• Excellent knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOM, XML, and RosettaNet.
• Extensive mapping knowledge in GXS AI / BizTrans / Contivo.
• Good experience with XML, XSLT, and XPath.
• Experience with Spec builder.
• Knowledge of communication protocols like VAN, FTP, sFTP, FTPS, OFTP, AS2, HTTP, etc.
• Programming proficiency in Shell, Python, Perl, or Java scripting.
• Basic understanding of trading‑partner setup and enablement.
• Deployment of artifacts such as maps and tables, and debugging and resolving CAT and/or production issues.
• Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.

What you will do

• Work independently on one or more projects as a key analyst, interacting with all stakeholders and customers to gather requirements, develop and build inbound and outbound EDI maps using GXS AI, test with sample data, generate output, and validate results.
• Possess excellent knowledge of OpenText B2B platform(s) and related integration activities.
• Guide junior team members.
• Prepare weekly and monthly metrics reports.
• Communicate overall status of map development or changes to the project lead/manager and other stakeholders.
