Job summary

CET Enviro New Delhi is seeking an Electrical Technician in Ahmedabad district to assemble, wire, test, and maintain industrial control panels. You will work hands-on to ensure quality and safety of assemblies, following SOPs and company procedures.

The ideal candidate will read SLDs/GA drawings, work with PLCs, VFDs and MCCs, and perform testing and troubleshooting with standard instruments. 3–5 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering required; certification is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, MCCs and protection devices preferred.
  • Ability to read SLDs, GA drawings and wiring schematics.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and SOPs.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and lay out control panels per GA drawings.
  • Wire, terminate and dress cables for electrical and power circuits.
  • Test continuity, insulation, and functional power before dispatch.
  • Diagnose faults, perform rework, and provide field service support.
  • Maintain records of testing, inspections and work performed.
  • Follow SOPs and safety guidelines.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with hands‑on experience in industrial control panel manufacturing or plant maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the quality of electrical control panels while adhering to safety standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Layout
  • Mount electrical components such as PLCs, VFDs, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks on control panel back plates according to General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
  • Ensure accurate component placement and panel layout as per engineering specifications.
Wiring & Termination
  • Perform internal wiring, cable routing, cable dressing, ferruling, crimping, and termination of control and power circuits.
  • Ensure neat, accurate, and standards‑compliant wiring practices.
Testing & Quality Control
  • Conduct continuity tests, insulation resistance (Megger) tests, and functional power tests before dispatch.
  • Verify panel functionality and compliance with quality and safety requirements.
  • Identify and rectify wiring or assembly defects before final inspection.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
  • Diagnose electrical and basic control circuit faults using multimeters, clamp meters, and other testing instruments.
  • Carry out corrective actions, rework, and field service support when required.
Documentation & Safety
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), electrical safety guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Maintain records of testing, inspections, and completed work.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and housekeeping practices.
Required Qualifications
  • ITI (Electrician/Electrical) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant technical certification will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
  • Strong ability to read and interpret single‑line diagrams (SLDs), GA drawings, electrical blueprints, and wiring schematics.
  • Knowledge of industrial control panels, PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, and electrical protection devices.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, insulation resistance testers (Megger), and continuity testers.
  • Good understanding of electrical safety standards and best practices.
Experience
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial control panel manufacturing, electrical panel assembly, or plant electrical maintenance.
Preferred Skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
