AtkinsRéalis in Mumbai seeks an Electrical Revit Modeller with 8+ years’ experience to deliver BIM models and electrical drawings for industrial, mining, petrochemical, and nuclear projects. Proficient in Revit Electrical, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and multidisciplinary coordination.

You will develop detailed 3D models, construction drawings, and perform clash detection, reviewing vendor documentation and supporting client model reviews within a global delivery environment.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Electrical Revit Modeller to join our Global Technology Centre (GTC) in Mumbai. Electrical Revit Modeller with 8+ years of experience delivering high‑quality BIM models and electrical design documentation for medium to large‑scale industrial, mining, petrochemical, and nuclear infrastructure projects. Highly proficient in Revit Electrical, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and multidisciplinary coordination, with strong expertise in power and lighting layouts, RCP coordination, raceways, grounding, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems in compliance with international codes and standards. Experienced in developing 3D models, construction drawings, quantity take‑offs, and material requisitions, performing clash detection and resolution, reviewing vendor documentation, and supporting client model reviews. A reliable team player capable of working independently, mentoring junior designers, maintaining QA/QC standards, and contributing effectively within a global delivery and multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Your role

• Directly performs work of designers and drafters, this work includes the preparation of 3D model in Revit application and preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed construction drawings using Revit or 2D CAD software like AutoCAD and MicroStation.

• Proficient in Equipment design and development, System design, including concept sketches and layouts.

• Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports

• Is responsible for the accuracy of bulk material quantity take-offs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline.

• Reviews drawings and vendor equipment documentation, both within the discipline as well as from other fields, for compliance with project requirements and actively seeks resolution.

• Proficient in Revit modeling, including equipment, raceways, grounding, lighting power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems. Capable of working independently to prepare layouts, schematics, and schedules in compliance with codes and standards. Skilled in reviewing and updating drawings based on feedback, ensuring accuracy and consistency in electrical documentation across 2D and 3D design environments. Experienced in developing detailed models, producing construction drawings, and supporting client model reviews.

• Proficient in Navisworks review capabilities, as required.

• Should be able to work independently and handle an area with team of designers/engineers.

• Interdisciplinary check of all Civil / Structural / Piping / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation drawings

• Provide guidance and mentorship to lower classification piping designers.

• Review project parameters related to MEP requirements.

• Experience of preparing Lighting layouts with RCP coordination.

About you

Required skills and experience

• Engineering Graduate or Engineering or Diploma with experience between 8+ Years mainly for building services, Industrial Chemical, Mining & Metallurgy and Petrochemicals multidisciplinary of medium and large size projects.

• Thorough awareness of international codes and standards used for MEP design in the industry.

• Shall be Capable of Producing Revit Model Independently in coordination with other disciplines.

• Maintain suitable records of correspondence and work completed for reference and auditing purposes.

• Able to present / represent their technical work.

• Working knowledge of standard codes and EDMS (Electronic Data Management System).

• Familiar with planning, budgeting, and scheduling of basic drafting tasks in designated disciplines.

• Shows flexibility in work tasks and locations.

• An effective and reliable team member able to apply knowledge gained.

• Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.

Desirable skills and experience

• Must be an advanced user of Revit & Its equivalent tools for Plant Design with capabilities to federate individual discipline models, maintain and run clash related activities for discipline models.

• Must be able to use Navisworks to generate clash results, manage clash resolution, redline BIM Models, capture viewpoints and cascade reports to discipline teams.

• Preparation of reports such as feasibility studies, method statements, specifications, design reports, schedules, construction drawings and bills of quantities.
