Quest Global in Bengaluru is seeking an instrumentation and controls engineer with 3–6 years of experience to design signal flow diagrams, wiring and BOMs. The role includes migrating legacy control platforms to modern systems, coordinating with P&ID and accessory teams, and providing on-site support during outages.

You will collaborate with clients and vendors to resolve engineering queries and ensure drawings accurately reflect devices, terminations and power looping.

Formación

• 3–6 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, loop diagrams and termination/wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with DCS I/O requirements and marshal/cabinet interfaces.
• Understanding standards (IEEE, NEC, IEC/NFPA) for components and cables.
• CAD skills in EPLAN P8 for SFD, loop diagrams and BOM generation.

Responsabilidades

Key Responsibilities

• Designing signal flow diagrams, Interconnection wiring, Cable block diagram and Cable BOM
• Migration of Legacy control platforms (e.g., Mark V, Mark VI, Woodward, Siemens or ABB) to GE Mark VIe control system.
• Collaborating with clients & vendors to resolve engineering queries and incorporate approved changes into engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with P&ID team, accessory team and controls team to ensure wiring and interconnection drawings accurately reflect devices, JB terminations and Power looping.
• Provide on-site technical support during plant outages to immediately resolve engineering queries.

Work Experience

Should have 3 to 6 years of experience, with below skills:

• Knowledge of Instrumentation and control valves, technical specification, Instrument loop diagrams and termination/wiring diagrams.
• Understanding of DCS and Controls I/O requirements, marshaling, cabinet interfaces and signal termination details.
• Knowledge in different standards (IEEE, NEC, IEC/NFPA etc.) for selection and sizing of components & cables.
• Understanding of vendor documentation, datasheets & wiring diagrams.
• CAD Tools: Advanced proficiency in Eplan electric P8 (for SFD, Loop diagram, Cable block diagram & automated BOM generation)
