Job summary

DAT Informatics Private Limited in Himachal Pradesh is seeking an Electrical Engineer Power Electronics to design, develop and test power supply solutions for our railway products. The role is based at our manufacturing unit in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

The Power Electronics Engineer will own the power stage of our products, ensuring efficient, reliable and well-protected designs ready for production, with responsibility from concept through to production transfer.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in power electronics and converter topologies.
• Hands-on experience in SMPS/UPS/inverter/charger design and testing.
• Working knowledge of magnetics, thermal design and EMI/EMC-aware layout.
• Familiarity with simulation tools and basic embedded C.
• Ability to take a design from concept to production independently.
• Willingness to relocate to or work from Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

Responsibilities

• Design AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC and AC-AC converters, including SMPS, UPS, inverters and chargers; select MOSFETs, IGBTs, SCRs and diodes as per requirements.
• Design gate-driver circuits, PWM/closed-loop control, and transformers/inductors; carry out thermal and heatsink calculations.
• Design protection for OVP, OCP, OTP, short circuit and earth leakage.
• Basic STM32/DSP/microcontroller programming in C/C++ (minor skill).
• Test prototypes using oscilloscopes and power analyzers; support EMI/EMC and RDSO type testing.
• Prepare design documentation, BOM and test reports; support production with design transfer and field-failure analysis.

DAT Informatics Private Limited, an RDSO-approved vendor for Indian Railways Signal & Telecom, is looking for an Electrical Engineer Power Electronics to design, develop and test power supply solutions for our railway products. The role is based at our manufacturing unit in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

Role Overview

The Power Electronics Engineer owns the power stage of our products, making sure every design is efficient, reliable, well-protected and ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Design AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC and AC-AC converters, including SMPS, UPS, inverters and chargers; select MOSFETs, IGBTs, SCRs and diodes as per requirements.
• Design gate-driver circuits, PWM/closed-loop control, and transformers/inductors; carry out thermal and heatsink calculations.

Protection & Firmware

• Design protection for OVP, OCP, OTP, short circuit and earth leakage.
• Basic STM32/DSP/microcontroller programming in C/C++ (minor skill).
