Job summary

Protexia Systems Pvt. Ltd. in Noida, India, is seeking an experienced Electrical/Automation engineer to design, integrate, test and commission electrical and control systems for defence automation equipment.

Responsibilities include designing electrical systems, wiring schematics, PLC-based automation, motor drives, interfacing PLCs with HMI, and ensuring EMI/EMC and safety testing across factory and customer sites. 2–4 years experience required.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in defence/automation environments preferred.
• Experience with designing electrical systems and control panels preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, SLDs, wiring/control schematics, cable schedules and control panels.
• Perform load, cable-sizing, voltage-drop and power-system calculations and select appropriate electrical components.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems, including I/O, motor drives, relays and contactors.
• Interface PLCs with HMI, PC, microcontrollers and industrial communication systems.
• Execute installation, system integration, troubleshooting and commissioning at factory and customer/defence sites.

ROLE:

Responsible for the design, integration, testing and commissioning of electrical and control systems for defence systems, automated target mechanisms and associated equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design electrical systems, SLDs, wiring/control schematics, cable schedules and control panels.
• Perform load, cable-sizing, voltage-drop and power-system calculations and select appropriate electrical components.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems, including I/O, motor drives, relays and contactors.
• Integrate motors, actuators, sensors, encoders, limit switches and solenoids.
• Interface PLCs with HMI, PC, microcontrollers and industrial communication systems.
• Work with Modbus, RS-485, CAN and Ethernet communication protocols.
• Design 24 V DC control systems, power distribution, UPS/battery and protection circuits.
• Implement earthing, grounding, surge protection, electrical isolation and safety systems.
• Support EMI/EMC, environmental, endurance and functional testing.
• Execute installation, system integration, troubleshooting and commissioning at factory and customer/defence sites.
• Prepare BOMs, technical drawings, test procedures, reports and engineering documentation.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Special-Purpose Machines or ruggedized equipment is preferred. Familiarity with DGQA, DGAQA or DRDO requirements will be an advantage
