Applicants should hold a BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 2–3 years of relevant experience, and be capable of preparing load lists, BOMs, SLDs, and basic PLC/SCADA work while adhering to IS/IEC standards.

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Job Purpose:

To manage and execute all electrical engineering activities related to the design, procurement, and implementation of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants. The role involves preparing electrical design documents, coordinating with vendors, and supporting site execution to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• A. Design & Documentation

1. Prepare electrical load lists based on final BOQ and approved technical datasheets.
2. Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) as per design and specification requirements.
3. Prepare cable schedule, cable and cable tray BOQ, and general electrical notes.
4. Support in preparation of SLDs, PLC logic, and SCADA development documents.
5. Review and update electrical drawings and technical submittals.

• B. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

1. Obtain and evaluate quotations for electrical panels and materials.
2. Prepare technical and commercial comparisons of vendor offers.
3. Coordinate with vendors for design clarifications, document approvals, and delivery schedules.

• C. Site Coordination & Support

1. Finalize cable routes and tray layouts in coordination with civil and mechanical teams.
2. Provide technical assistance during installation, testing, and commissioning.
3. Ensure electrical systems comply with relevant standards and safety guidelines.
4. Support in troubleshooting and resolving site-level electrical issues when required.

Skills and Competencies:

- Sound knowledge of MCC, PCC, and PLC panels and their integration in process systems.

- Proficient in load calculation, cable sizing, and selection.

- Basic understanding of PLC/SCADA systems and field instrumentation.

- Familiarity with IS / IEC electrical standards and design practices.

- Strong coordination, analytical, and documentation skills.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office tools.

- The role may require occasional site visits for inspection, supervision, or commissioning support.

- The candidate should be adaptable to project timelines and multidisciplinary coordination.
