Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Bengaluru is seeking an Electrical Drafter to collaborate with project engineers on design drawings and redline markups, preparing plan and section drawings, and producing single-line diagrams, panel elevations, schematics and wiring diagrams.

You will demonstrate knowledge of CAD standards and best practices, learn client and project drafting standards, and provide technical guidance to junior drafters.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Preferably 2–4 years of experience in electrical drafting.
• Proficiency in CAD software: AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft 365.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with 3D design tools such as Revit or Inventor preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.
• Knowledge of CAD standards and best practices.

Roles and responsibilities

• Prepare plan and section drawings.
• Work on single-line diagrams, panel elevations, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of CAD standards and best practices.
• Learn and successfully apply company, client, and project drafting standards and procedures.
• Adhere to client quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance to junior drafters on drafting software and tools.
• All other duties as assigned.

This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Preferably 2 to 4 years of experience in the electrical field.
• Proficiency in CAD software, including Autodesk AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft 365.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio would be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical would be an added advantage.
