Job summary

Actemium in Bengaluru, India seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support MV, HV, and EHV substation projects. You will perform detailed design, equipment selection, and power system studies, with a focus on safety and quality.

The role involves coordination with global teams, vendor reviews, and support during commissioning, FAT/SAT, and site testing. 8 to 15 years of relevant experience and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems focus.
• Experience in AIS/GIS substations and protection design preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of IEC, IEEE, IS standards.
• Experience 8–15 years in design and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review SLDs, layouts, BOQs, and specifications.
• Perform power system studies and design calculations.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support construction, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.

About Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support MV, HV, and EHV Substation Projects. The role involves detailed engineering, equipment selection, power system studies, cable engineering, earthing and lightning protection design, and project execution support through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review SLDs, substation layouts, equipment layouts, cable schedules, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Perform electrical design calculations and power system studies using ETAP.
• Execute cable engineering, earthing system design, lightning protection, and lighting calculations.
• Support equipment engineering and selection for transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS equipment, and associated systems.
• Review vendor documents, support technical evaluations, and procurement activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and customers.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
