Job summary

Lam Research in Bangalore, India, is seeking an Electrical Component Engineer to design and develop electronic parts, modules, and systems for advanced semiconductor applications. You will design and analyze equipment, perform tests, and evaluate results to deliver reliable solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field (graduate eligible) and hands-on circuit design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (graduate eligible).
• Hands‑on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital) and validation.
• Familiarity with CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD, Spice, ADS, HFSS).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic parts, modules, and/or systems, applying engineering methods to design.
• Contributes to research and development efforts by establishing operating data to improve electrical system designs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components.
• Perform hands‑on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterize the performance of the electrical/electro‑mechanical systems.
• Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews.

Who we’re looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with no previous professional experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Hands‑on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), signal and controls theory, development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation.
• Familiarity with CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD, Spice, ADS, HFSS).
• This is a graduate eligible role.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge in application of power and controls technologies for systems automation.
• Familiar with design for serviceability, manufacturability, reliability.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting systems with tools like network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logs.
• Oral and written communication skills including technical presentations.
