Job summary

4sight in Hyderabad, India is seeking an experienced BIM Specialist skilled in Revit to work with the Lead Modeler on developing Revit families for standards and project needs. You will model and document projects efficiently, schedule work, and ensure deliveries meet deadlines.

You will coordinate with detailers and project coordinators, supervise input of marked-up drawings, and backcheck work for accuracy against client standards, while building strong cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of modeling software used in REI, including Revit; ability to create and manipulate families, views, browser structures, sheets, schedules, and filters.
• Understanding of BIM processes and workflow.
• Ability to create simple parametric families and use shared parameters.
• Reading 2D plans accurately, electronically or on paper.
• Fluency in 2D and 3D workspaces, including coordination with others.
• Proficiency with plotting, printers, and reproduction systems.
• Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Role & responsibilities

• Work with the Lead Modeler in developing RevitFamilies either for the revised standards or for a specific projects needs.
• Create project specific families for projects.
• Will need to efficiently model and document the project.
• Schedule and assign work to meet project deliverable dates.
• Clean and purge background drawings/models for use in Client model.
• Create Revitmodel using backgrounds from other trades.
• Work with project Coordinators and Detailers.
• Supervise the layout and input of markedup drawings into Revitin accordance with Client Standards.
• Backcheck & validate work for accuracy before passing on to the project team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Advanced working knowledge of the most current modeling applications software in use by REI, including being able to create and manipulate Revitfamilies, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters and similar Revitfunctions
• Complete understanding of BIM processes and procedures including workflow processes
• Skills obtained above and beyond the building elements would be creating simple parametric families, utilizing shared parameters, creating schedules, and creating complex geometry
• Fluency in reading 2D plans, electronically or hard copy
• Fluency in the 2D and 3D space
• Fluency in Autodesk Navis Works, Autodesk Design Review
• Advanced knowledge of 3D layout and design
• Fluency with all plotters, printers and reproduction systems used in house or on thejobsite
• Ability to create Revitwork sets and understanding of Revitwork sharing process
• Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
