Job summary

Qualifications

  • Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in GIS and environmental data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel for field assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for projects across various sectors (infrastructure, industrial, energy, etc.).
  • Prepare EIA reports, including baseline studies, impact prediction, mitigation measures, and monitoring plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate environmental considerations into project design and planning.
  • Review and interpret environmental regulations, policies, and guidelines relevant to the projects.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and coordinate public consultations when required.
  • Conduct fieldwork to collect environmental data such as soil, water, air quality, flora, and fauna assessments.
  • Monitor compliance of ongoing projects with environmental commitments and EIA conditions.
  • Stay updated with the latest environmental laws, standards, and best practices.
  • Support the preparation of Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and sustainability reports.
