Job summary

Tata Technologies is seeking an EHS & Material Compliance Specialist to support global engineering teams by ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and internal safety standards. You will maintain EHS documentation, manage regulatory screening for REACH, TSCA, and GADSL, and coordinate with R&D teams across locations to support audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science with relevance to EHS and materials.
• 1–3 years of experience in EHS documentation and material compliance.
• Proficiency in English and German (intermediate/advanced).
• Understanding of EHS processes and material compliance regulations (REACH, TSCA, GADSL).
• Experience with PLM and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage EHS documentation for SME teams across business units.
• Prepare and update Risk Assessments, LoTo, SDS, and training materials.
• Support material compliance activities including regulatory screening and tracking (GADSL, TSCA, REACH) and monitor regulatory updates.
• Prepare customer compliance documentation (non-IMDS).
• Maintain compliance tracking systems and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Support audit readiness and compliance checks.
• Coordinate with R&D SMEs and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure adherence to defined EHS and compliance processes.
• Support continuous improvement in compliance documentation workflows.

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

As an EHS & Material Compliance Specialist, the individual will support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and regulatory compliance activities by maintaining documentation, tracking regulatory requirements, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

The role focuses on supporting global engineering teams by ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and internal safety standards, contributing to audit readiness and structured documentation processes.

We conduct our projects holistically, in accordance Quality KPIs. We offer engineering services to Tenneco Engineering Centers located globally at various locations.

EHS & Material Compliance Specialist

EDUCATION:

B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Automobile) or B.Sc./M.Sc. (Material Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science)

EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years of relevant experience in EHS Documentation, Material Compliance

REQUIREMENTS:

Strong analytical and documentation skills

Proficiency in English and German (Intermediate or Advanced) (Must)

Understanding of: EHS processes, material compliance regulations (REACH, TSCA, GADSL)]

Expertise in PLM / Document Management Systems

Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
