Job summary

PeopleStrong in Thane is seeking an EEG Technician to support neurodiagnostic testing. You will set up electrodes, check impedance, and ensure readings are reviewed by Consultants.

Responsibilities include educating patients, obtaining consent, coordinating with ward staff for inpatients, dispatching provisional reports, and maintaining EEG consumables. 2 years of experience and EEG certification preferred.

Qualifications

• HSC and EEG certification with ~2 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG tests and ensure patient safety during the procedure.

• Patient Oriented
• To orient & educate the patient regarding the test
• Counseling the patient with patience for efficient conduct of the test
• To ensure interpretation of the reading is done by Consultant.
• Coordinating with Ward nursing staff for inpatients requiring the test
• Providing provisional reports with Consultants consent in cases of emergency.
• Timely dispatch of EEG reports.
• Inventory Oriented:
  • Check stock related to the test (Ether, Sticking plaster, Pedicloryl Syrup, Crape bandage etc…)
  • Showing consumption of used material.
• Medication related: Not Applicable
• Department related
  • Prioritizing the quick conduct of EEG for OPD Patients

Skills

• Technical know how:
• Functioning of the EEG machine
• Checking for accurate performance of the test

• To take care of patients while performing the test if patient gets Jerks / Seizures.
