Description

To operate electromyography equipment to test electrical activity of muscle disease or denervation to determine conduction velocity and latency times of peripheral motor and sensory nerves and to assist physicians in performing advanced electromyography techniques used in specific neurological diseases.
To confer with patients to obtain medical history and explain procedures, allay fears, and elicit cooperation.
To review and analyze patient history to determine proper procedures with the physician.
To assist in scheduling patients for EMG testing and perform SSEP monitoring in the OT.
To prepare patients for electromyography procedure; apply electrodes to correct positions on body and adjust as required.
To perform routine and complex EEG procedures to obtain data for diagnosing clinic disorders of the nervous system.
To get tracings reported by the Neurologist.
To assist with scheduling patients for EEG.
Assisting in EEG monitoring in the OT.
Conducting EEGs in ICU, ICCU & PICU.
