Job summary

Oxford University Press in Noida is seeking an English Editor to shape high-quality educational content. You will edit and develop print and digital materials aligned with evolving standards like NEP 2020 and NCF 2022.

You will manage end-to-end editorial projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to innovative product development across LMS, animations and question banks.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree with 5–7 years of editorial experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and edit English language content aligned with NEP/NCF frameworks.
  • Manage projects end-to-end from manuscript to print and digital delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and develop digital and blended learning products.
  • Research pedagogical approaches to enhance product quality.
  • Review and validate factual content with content developers.
  • Ensure high standards of quality, timelines and cost efficiency across deliverables.
  • Conduct detailed editorial reviews of Coursebooks, Workbooks, Literature Readers and Teacher’s Manuals.
  • Develop and review digital content on Learning Management Systems and ensure functionality.
  • Create and review storyboards for animations and digital elements.
  • Develop question banks aligned with taxonomies and ensure quality reviews.
  • Create and review audio scripts and ensure functionality of interactive e-books.
  • Manage timelines and milestones to meet delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with freelancers and vendors in product development.
  • Support training for business development teams and webinars/demos.

Opportunity-

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and edit English language content with a strong focus on learning objectives and market requirements aligned with NEP and NCF frameworks
  • Manage projects end-to-end, from manuscript stage to final print and digital delivery
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and develop digital and blended learning products, including creation of new products and revision of existing ones
  • Research and adopt the latest pedagogical approaches to enhance product quality
  • Review and validate factual content in collaboration with content developers
  • Ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, timelines, and cost efficiency across all deliverables
  • Conduct detailed editorial reviews of Coursebooks, Workbooks, Literature Readers, and Teacher’s Manuals
  • Develop and review digital content on Learning Management Systems, ensuring accuracy and functionality
  • Create and review storyboards for animations, interactivities, and digital learning elements
  • Develop question banks and align them with relevant taxonomies, ensuring quality reviews at all stages until final sign-off
  • Create and review audio scripts, evaluate audio files, and ensure functionality of interactive e-books
  • Manage timelines and project milestones effectively to meet delivery schedules
  • Work closely with content contributors, freelancers, and vendors involved in product development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and business development, to understand customer needs and enhance product offerings
  • Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives for business development teams to enable effective product demonstrations
  • Partner with excellence teams to drive engagement initiatives such as webinars and product demonstrations

Essential Criteria
  • Postgraduate degree with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience

  • Attention to detail and strong editorial skills across print and digital formats
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Desirable Criteria
  • MA in English and/or MPhil in Education
  • Experience in developing products in the K-8 EdTech industry
  • Teaching or teacher training experience
  • Understanding of school education systems, pedagogy, and curriculum frameworks
  • Agile mindset with the ability to adapt to changing industry demands
