Job summary

Wipro is seeking an EDI Integration Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to design, implement, and support complex EDI/B2B integrations. The role involves working with ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and mapping data across systems, including IBM i (AS400) environments and modern API integrations.

You will develop in RPG/CLP on IBM i, optimize SQL, monitor EDI processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable integrations in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of hands-on EDI/B2B integration experience.
• Experience with ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and flat files.
• Proficient in EDI mapping, translation, and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support IBM i (AS400) applications.
• Develop and enhance programs using RPGLE, RPG Free, and CLP.
• Analyze code, debug, and implement performance improvements.
• Design and optimize SQL queries, including embedded SQL within RPG programs.
• Support EDI transaction processing and resolve integration-related issues.
• Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs, job queues, subsystems, and file transfer processes.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, production support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to team members.

Job description

Must-Have Skills – EDI Integration Engineer (5 + years of hands‑on experience

Strong experience in EDI/B2B integrations, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, flat files, and key transaction sets such as 850, 856, 810, and 997/999.

Hands‑on expertise with EDI platforms such as Cleo EEI / Cleo Harmony , ExtolEDI solutions, IBM i (AS400/iSeries), Boomi.

Proficiency in EDI mapping, translation, and data transformation between EDI, XML, JSON, and other enterprise data formats.

Experience with B2B communication protocols including AS2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, OFTP, and VAN connectivity.

Strong knowledge of API integrations, REST/SOAP web services, and hybrid EDI-API integration solutions.

Good understanding of SQL, Linux/Unix, scripting (Python, Java, JavaScript, Shell), and troubleshooting production integration issues.

Experience in trading partner onboarding, production support, monitoring, issue resolution, and end-to-end integration lifecycle management within Agile environments
