Job summary

Isoft Services Noida seeks an experienced Business Central Developer to lead the design, coding, and lifecycle management of BC extensions, APIs, and integrations from Hyderabad, India. You will own solution design, ensure upgrade-safe code, and collaborate with stakeholders on technical approaches and estimates.

The role handles client-facing delivery, requires deep AL expertise, and involves on-site work with offshore coordination.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead Business Central development: build/maintain BC extensions, pages, APIs, and integrations.
• Develop in AL and leverage BC extension architecture for upgrade safety.
• Apply modern development tools and AI-assisted workflows while preserving reliability and data integrity.
• Investigate BC issues, root causes, and implement robust fixes in finance, stock, and operations.

Core Skills:

• AL Language & Extension Development: Expert-level AL programming, custom extension architecture, and upgrade-safe code design.
• Integrations: Creating custom REST APIs, OData web services, or JSON webhooks in AL so external systems can push or pull data from Business Centra

Responsibilities

• Business Central Development
  • Build and maintain Business Central extensions, custom pages, reports, APIs and integrations.
  • Develop confidently in AL and work with Business Central extension architecture.
  • Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows where appropriate, without compromising reliability, auditability or business accuracy.
  • Build solutions that are reliable, supportable and safe for clients business use.
• Systems Improvement and Support
  • Investigate Business Central issues, identify root causes and implement reliable fixes.
  • Work carefully on systems that support finance, stock and operational processes.
  • Make sure changes preserve the correct business meaning, not just the technical output.
  • Test changes properly before release and support UAT where needed.
• Integrations, Reporting and Data
  • Work on integrations into and out of Business Central to/from various other systems, warehouse, reporting and operational systems.
  • Build and maintain integration points into Business Central via APIs, Data connectors and other integration mechanisms.
• Role Description:
  • Client facing role – should be able to take ownership of client’s expectations and applications.
  • Liaise with client stakeholders and proactively navigate the landscape
  • Be an expert advisor for client advising them on technical approach, delivery approach, estimations, etc.
  • Work involves mix of projects, small enhancements and support. Ability to shoulder the support responsibility is essential.
  • Lead and direct team members both onshore and offshore. Ability to be the face of team’s output.
  • Ability to own and execute Release management process.
