Internal Audit Function
- The DWS Internal Audit team has more than 40 professionals located in New York, London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Tokyo and other locations, delivering high‑quality audit results across all key activities of DWS worldwide.
- Internal Audit combines a strong business and risk‑oriented perspective with analytical depth, independence and modern methodologies, data analytics and AI‑supported tools to identify control weaknesses, compile risk assessments, execute audits and develop audit approaches that evaluate key controls.
- As the third line of defense, Internal Audit assesses risks independently and forward‑looking, prioritises them strategically and serves as a trusted partner to senior management and international supervisory authorities. Your Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control environment in accordance with the applicable Internal Audit Methodology under moderate supervision.
- Participate in local and global audit engagements across all areas and locations of the DWS Group and, when required, in ad‑hoc projects and special investigations.
- Undertake multiple audit assignments and provide front‑to‑back coverage; draft high‑quality audit reports for review by audit management, facilitate issue tracking and validate the closure of audit issues.
- Support dynamic, risk‑based audit planning by continuously monitoring DWS business divisions and infrastructure functions, identifying and evaluating key risks, and developing effective tests to assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
- Develop and maintain consultative relationships with the audit team, internal stakeholders, clients and relevant infrastructure areas.
- Communicate audit results effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization.
- Primary place of work: Pune, India.
Your Skills and Experience
- First audit experience or equivalent professional experience at a reputable asset manager / financial services company or an audit firm with a relevant focus.
- Completed university degree in Business Administration, Economics or an MBA; CFA, CIA, FRM or other equivalent professional certifications are an advantage.
- Robust knowledge of the value chain and processes of an investment management company, particularly in operations, settlement, reporting and transaction processing, with a fundamental understanding of risk‑management practices and tools such as credit, market and liquidity risk management.
- Sound understanding of traditional asset‑management products as well as alternative investment products.
- Independent and proactive working style, supported by strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- First project‑management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High willingness to learn, strong assertiveness and readiness to take on challenges.
- Strong team orientation and the ability to work accurately and efficiently even in high‑pressure situations.
