Job summary

JLL Hyderabad is seeking a Site Technical Operations Manager responsible for overall performance of technical operations of the site. You will lead the technical team, ensure hygiene, safety, and environmental standards, and implement hazard and risk management.

This role requires strong EHS knowledge, incident investigation skills, and the ability to report on safety and sustainability progress; on-site with 48 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a site technical operations team.
• Knowledge of EHS policies and safety regulations.
• Experience implementing 5S and waste management practices.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and root-cause analysis.
• Experience in incident investigation and corrective actions.
• Ability to monitor sustainability initiatives and report findings.
• Strong communication and discipline within teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained in all technical operations.
• Uphold a culture of discipline within the technical team.
• Address disciplinary issues promptly and fairly.
• Establish and enforce safety protocols to achieve zero accidents.
• Investigate and address root causes of accidents or incidents.

• Determine aspect-impacts including significant aspects and implement relevant controls.

• Take corrective actions on all nonconformities including incidents/accidents if any.

Position Purpose and Nature

Responsible for overall performance of technical operations of the site

Key Accountabilities and Duties

• Ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained in all technical operations
• Uphold a culture of discipline within the technical team
• Address disciplinary issues promptly and fairly
• Establish and enforce safety protocols to achieve zero accidents
• Investigate and address the root causes of accidents or incidents
• Accountable for implementing environmentally friendly practices within the technical department
• Monitor and report progress on sustainability initiatives
• Address non-compliance issues proactively
• Report regularly on technical department activities, including safety performance
• Implement hazard and risk management protocols
• Regularly assess and mitigate risks within technical operations

Authority

• Authorize decisions related to technical projects and operations
• Allocate resources effectively to meet departmental goals
• Authorize emergency responses and resource mobilization
• Act as the incident commander during emergencies
• Have the authority to review and revise technical policies and procedures
• Ensure that all technical staff are aware of and adhere to these policies.
• Authorize the implementation of health and wellbeing initiatives
• Allocate resources for mental health support programs

OHS&W Responsibility

• Implement and monitor adherence to the EHS policy within the technical team
• Enforce safety guidelines and protocols.
• Develop and conduct EHS training programs for the technical staff.
• Keep the team informed about changes in safety regulations
• Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Stay updated on legal requirements related to EHS.
• Ensure the technical team complies with all relevant laws and regulations
• Oversee transitions and fit-out projects.
• Collaborate with auditing teams to assess compliance.
• Actively participate in 5S initiatives to maintain cleanliness and discipline within the technical department

IMS Responsibilities

• Determine aspect-impacts including significant aspects and implement relevant controls
• Determine hazards-risk including significant hazards and implement controls
• Maintain and update aspect-impact register and HIRA register.
• Planning to achieve IMS objectives as set by management
• Complying with all applicable legal requirements
• Identify training needs and attend trainings as planned.
• Maintain records of external communication if any
• Maintain & retain documented information
• Manage changes in a structured manner
• Waste management and disposal
• Determine emergencies and test all emergencies
• Participate in mock drills
• Report near misses
• Participate in incident investigation
• Take corrective actions on all nonconformities including incidents/accidents if any.
• Undertake continual improvements

People Management Responsibilities

• Able to lead site team to run the Technical Operations smoothly
• Staff’s discipline and well-being.
