Job summary

Daimler Truck AG in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead a highly capable IoT connectivity team. You will define strategy, architecture, and services with global teams, while mentoring 15–20 engineers and enforcing Agile practices.

The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, cloud IoT experience, and deep software architecture know-how. You will drive development of scalable microservices, ensure QA and security compliance, and maintain clear stakeholder

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor in Computer Science (or related disciplines).
• ~16+ years of experience in end-customer facing IT applications software, preferably in Automotive domain.
• Experience handling international collaborations with internal partners and customers.
• Practicing Agile development methodology.
• Experience in scalable product development on cloud IoT platforms.
• Experience with cloud platform Microsoft Azure (Preferred).
• Experience in developing microservices (Spring Boot / .NET Core) with web app frameworks.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in creating solution prototypes.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience with DevOps concepts and tool landscape.
• Knowledge of software architecture principles and patterns.
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a highly technically competent team responsible for a state-of-the-art connectivity platform for Daimler Truck customers.
• Define strategy, services, solutions, and architectures with Global market facing teams.
• Develop and mentor a team of 15–20 members and manage performance.
• Promote and practice Agile methods in development processes.
• Collaborate with Connectivity Service Group and industry partners to meet project objectives.
• Ensure software meets product requirements, quality, and security standards.
• Maintain effective communication with all business stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes; perform root-cause analysis and implement resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a highly technically competent team that is accountable for a state-of-the-art connectivity platform, where products and services are built for Daimler Truck customers.
• Define strategy, services, solutions and architectures in collaboration with Global market facing teams
• Develop, mentor a team of about 15- 20 members and performance management
• Encourage and practice Agile methods for development
• Collaborate with departments across the Connectivity Service Group and partners/suppliers across the industry to achieve Project Objectives.
• Ensure software meets all Product requirements, quality & security Standards
• Ensure effective and timely communication with all Business stakeholders
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of software development process; performs root cause analysis, identifies problem areas & resolutions
