Job summary

Coherent Corp. in India (Finisar India, a subsidiary) seeks a junior engineer to develop device drivers in C#/.NET and support STM32-based embedded software testing.

You will assist in hardware/software validation on prototype and production boards, execute test plans, and document results, using standard lab equipment in a five-day office-based role. The position targets 0–1 year of experience, with a preference for 2026 graduates, and offers exposure to system-level validation during tester

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field from India premier colleges.
• 0–1 year experience; 2026 graduates preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of device drivers and embedded software testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate device drivers using C#/.NET under guidance of senior engineers.

• Assist in testing and debugging hardware/software on prototype and production boards.

• Participate in system-level validation during tester development.
• Execute software and hardware test plans and document test results.
• Support hardware testing, debugging, and automated calibration activities.
• Perform prototype board verification and basic design validation.
• Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, power meters, and network analyzers for testing and troubleshooting.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EEE), Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation (E&I), or related disciplines from India premier colleges like IIT, NIT, BITS.
• 0 to 1 year experience (preferred 2026 graduated batch).

Skills

• Basic knowledge of C#/.NET or object-oriented programming concepts.
• Understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
• Basic programming knowledge in C, C++, or C#.
• Familiarity with electronic circuits and components.
• Basic understanding of communication protocols such as USB, I²C, SPI, or UART.
• Exposure to debugging and testing tools through academic projects or internships is an added advantage.

Working Conditions

• The work mode of Finisar Test Development Department, India is Mandatory 5 days at office.
