Job summary

Studio Z-Axis in Hyderabad seeks a Senior Draftsman to prepare complete architectural and interior drawings up to GFC stage. You will draft floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans and coordination drawings, following CAD standards.

The ideal candidate has strong CAD skills, 14 years in architecture/interior design, knowledge of building bylaws, and the ability to convert hand sketches into precise CAD drawings. Telugu/English communication preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or degree in civil/architecture with relevant drafting experience.
• Proficient in CAD drawing standards and construction detailing.
• Strong portfolio of architectural/interior drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete architectural and interior drawings up to GFC stage based on lead inputs.
• Draft floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, and sanction drawings.
• Create detailed drawings: staircase, toilet, kitchen, door/window schedules, joinery details.
• Prepare electrical, plumbing, and false ceiling layouts for coordination.
• Produce interior drawings: furniture layouts, wall elevations, flooring, ceiling plans.
• Follow CAD standards: layers, line weights, title blocks, sheet setup.
• Revise drawings quickly per client/architect feedback.
• Maintain drawing registers, issue logs, and project folders.
• Coordinate with structural and MEP consultants as needed.
• Support residential, villa, apartment, commercial, and master-planning projects in Hyderabad & Andhra Pradesh.

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare complete architectural and interior working drawings up to GFC (Good for Construction) stage, based on design inputs from the lead architects.
• Draft floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, and municipal or sanction drawings.
• Prepare detailed drawings: staircase, toilet, kitchen, door/window schedules, and joinery and furniture details.
• Prepare services coordination drawings: electrical, plumbing, and false ceiling layouts.
• Prepare interior drawings: furniture layouts, wall elevations, flooring patterns, and ceiling plans.
• Follow the studios CAD standards: layers, line weights, title blocks, and sheet setup.
• Revise drawings quickly based on client and architect feedback.
• Maintain drawing registers, issue logs, and organised project folders.
• Coordinate with structural and MEP consultants when needed.
• Support residential, villa, apartment, commercial, and master-planning projects across Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architectural Assistantship, ITI Draughtsman (Civil), or B.Arch/B.Tech (Civil).
• 14 years of experience in an architecture or interior design firm. Strong freshers with a good portfolio can apply.
• Expert in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Revit, SketchUp, and Excel are an added advantage.
• Good understanding of construction details, building byelaws (GHMC/HMDA), and standard dimensions.
• Awareness of Vastu principles is preferred.
• Neat, accurate, and fast drafting, with attention to detail.
• Can read and convert hand sketches into precise CAD drawings.
• Telugu and English communication preferred.
• Must share a portfolio or drawing samples with the application. Shortlisted candidates will take a short drafting test.
