HSBC India is seeking an experienced Documentation Associate for Global Trade Solutions (GTS). The role involves reviewing and processing domestic and cross-border trade transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

The candidate should have a commerce/finance-related degree and 4–5 years of experience in banking operations or trade finance, with strong analytical and communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and trade software.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in banking operations or trade finance.
  • Sound knowledge of local and cross-border related operational processes.
  • Good understanding of RBI, FEMA, ACU guidelines.
  • Knowledge of AML, Sanctions, Financial Crime Risk, and internal control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and deliver within stringent timelines.
  • Strong Knowledge of Trade Finance Products and Services, Including Letters Of Credit, Trade Loans, And Export/Import Documentation
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Review and process both domestic and cross-border transactions, ensuring activity stays within Limits of Authority and compliant with policies.
  • Ensure adherence to AML, Sanctions, Financial Crime Risk, and other internal control requirements.
  • Maintain understanding of RBI and FEMA guidelines.
  • Monitor operational risks and implement mitigation and control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with HSBC internal control standards, including timely audit recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced customer service.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and escalation of issues to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain approvals.
  • Proficiency in trade related software and MS Office Suite.

Principal Responsibilities


  • Review and processbothdomestic and cross-border transactions, ensuring all activity remainswithin delegated Limits of Authorityand isfully compliant with internal policies and procedures

  • Ensure adherence to AML, Sanctions, Financial Crime Risk, and other applicable internal control requirements.

  • Maintain a sound understanding of the Indian regulatory framework, including RBI, FEMA guidelines.

  • Monitor operational risks and ensure appropriate identification, assessment, mitigation, and control measures are implemented.

  • Ensure compliance with HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit recommendations

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer service.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and escalation of operational issues to relevant stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals prior.

  • Proficiency in trade related software and Ms office Suite.


Role requirements / Educational Qualifications / Certification / Experience:

Pro Tip: Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.
