Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a senior leader to define the AI software stack vision, architect scalable platforms, and guide teams across infrastructure and application domains.

The role focuses on building production-grade AI platforms for MIPS AI Platforms, kernel and workload optimization, and model lowering to RISCV-based systems, while shaping the long-term technical roadmap.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering with AI/ML subsystems and distributed architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Neural networks and Vision Transformers.
• Strong Python, Java, C/C++ and architecture-level optimization.
• Experience with GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes and AI acceleration hardware.

Responsibilities

• Architect AI platforms and design a production-grade software stack for MIPS AI Platforms.
• Oversee workload performance, kernel optimization and cost-efficient scalability.
• Define architecture for model lowering to RISCV-based MIPS platform and guide teams.

Your Role:

Leads and sets the technical vision and architectural standards for the Product's AI Software Stack. This senior role involves infrastructure and application, building scalable AI platforms, kernel optimizations, graph simulators and model lowering architecture and guiding teams through this journey.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect AI Platforms: Design and deploy production-grade software stack for MIPS AI Platforms, encompassing the ONNX/PyTorch and other framework kernels.
• Hardware/Software Optimization: Oversee workload performance, operators/kernel optimization, optimize deployment stacks and ensure cost-efficient scalability.
• Model Lowering: Define the architecture and framework for model lowering to the RISCV based MIPS platform, enable faster transfer
• Technical Leadership: Define the long-term technical roadmap, establish architectural standards, and mentor engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 15+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years specifically focused on AI/ML SW for Processor Sub-systems, Hardware Accelerators and distributed systems architecture.
• AI & Frameworks: Deep hands-on experience with Neural networks, Vision Transformers, Vision Language Action Models
• Software Engineering: Strong background in Python, Java, C/C++, and architecture level optimization.
• Infrastructure: Knowledge and hands on experience with Github, Docker, Kubernetes, and AI acceleration hardware.
