Deutsche Bank AG in Mumbai, India seeks a Divisional Risk and Control Analyst to join the Divisional Control Office (DCO). The role focuses on independent control testing, findings reporting, governance planning, and cross-stakeholder coordination to ensure effective non-financial risk management.

You will work with a team establishing a new Control Testing Unit, applying analytical thinking and AI-enabled workflow improvements while maintaining high standards of documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting independent control testing per established standards.

Responsibilities

• Testing delivery: Execute independent control testing (design and operating effectiveness) in line with the Control Testing methodology/minimum standards.
• Findings & reporting: Identify and validate control deficiencies and related risks; elevate issues/exceptions where required; produce clear, high-quality workpapers and management reports that evidence testing results and findings.
• Governance & planning: Prepare materials for and support Risk & Control governance forums, including progress, results, and key issues; help shape and deliver the annual testing plan; drive plan governance and resolve scoping conflicts with the DCO and stakeholders.
• Stakeholder management: Challenge constructively and facilitate resolution of disagreements, including scoping and evidence gaps; coordinate effectively with control owners and other stakeholders.

Job Title- Divisional Risk and Control Analyst, AS Location- Mumbai, India

Role Description The Divisional Control Office (DCO) function is a dedicated risk and control, function, providing a consolidated view and central coordination of (non-financial) risks, as well as effective, efficient, and consistent standards and policies. The Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO) DCO office has coverage responsibilities for all functions within GCOO including Human Resources, Global Real Estate, Trade Settlement & Confirmation Office, Global Procurement among others. A new Control Testing Unit is being established and will work closely with other control testing teams across Infrastructure. This team will create, identify, track and report control testing activities. They will conduct independent testing (design and operating effectiveness) on different risk types in line with the Control Testing Standards.

Your key responsibilities

• Good knowledge of auditing controls
• Knowledge of regulations governing financial institutions is beneficial
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in conflict situations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize workload
• Strong analytical skills and structured thought process with the ability to clearly articulate control deficiencies and related risk
• Flexible, proactive, and innovative mindset with strong organizational skills to take ownership and responsibility for agreed targets and to meet them within budget to enable a timely and efficient completion of projects.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
