Job summary

Deutsche Bank is seeking an Accounting Control Senior Analyst in Mumbai, reporting to Assistant Vice President. The role focuses on timely and accurate financial, regulatory and risk reporting, ensuring QA coverage of control environments across global Finance.

The candidate will work with stakeholders to provide insight and analysis of financials and regulatory reports, and supervise remediation of QA issues.

Qualifications

  • Project management experience coordinating multiple deliverables across teams.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to navigate a global organization with cross‑entity collaboration.
  • Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within Finance and other areas of the Bank globally to understand end-to-end control environments.
  • Work within the QA team to execute the annual Regulatory Reporting QA review plan.
  • Perform Regulatory Reporting QA reviews per QA Framework standards, including tests of controls and transactions.
  • Draft Regulatory Reporting QA issues documenting deficiency, root cause and regulatory impact.
  • Assist with monitoring of outstanding QA issues and remediation progress.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as requested by management.

Role Description

The Financial, Regulatory and Risk Reporting Specialist ensures timely and accurate financial, regulatory and risk reporting to senior management, regulators, auditors, and other relevant stakeholders, in line with regulatory and statutory requirements.

They work closely with the Financial, Regulatory and Risk Reporting Managers to provide insight and analysis over the financials, regulatory reports, and accounts within their remit.

This includes supervision and assurance of risk-based control reporting of key issues, cyclical activities such as annual control self‑assessments, control testing, incident research, remediation monitoring and other deep dive reviews.

They collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide complete and comprehensive reporting in the books and records of the Bank, for the effective management of financial reporting and accounting risk and finance regulatory reporting risk.

Your key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within Finance and other areas of the Bank globally to build an understanding of the end-to-end control environments
  • Work within the QA team to assist in the execution of the annual Regulatory Reporting QA review plan
  • Perform Regulatory Reporting QA reviews in accordance with the QA Framework standards, which includes test of controls and test of transactions
  • Draft Regulatory Reporting QA issues (as they arise) that document the control deficiency or report inaccuracy, root cause and regulatory impact
  • Assist with the monitoring (i.e., follow‑up and closing) of the outstanding QA issues
  • Perform ad‑hoc projects, upon request
Your skills and experience
  • Project management skills and ability to prioritize and coordinate various deliverables across multiple owners
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • The ability to operate effectively within a global organization working with teams across multiple entities; ability to challenge existing processes and recommend process and control improvements where relevant
  • Degree in Accounting or related field
Skills that will help you excel

Understanding of controls and practical application of control principles as well as an understanding of front-to-back control environments; experience in Financial Services, Comprehensive Capital Analysis Review (CCAR), Regulatory Reporting and/or Treasury a plus

This role will have US shift timings.
