Responsibilities
Developing and implementing programmes:
- Developing and implementing programmes to address various community requirements throughout their jurisdiction.
- Creating programmes may involve conducting research, consulting with community members and coordinating with other organisations to ensure they reach their goals, and operate appropriately.
- Ensure the objectives, oversee programme outcomes objectives.
- Collecting and analysing data, periodically reviewing a programme's progress or status, and adjusting parameters and specifications based on outcomes.
Communication and Engagement
- Communication regularly with community members, invested parties and organisational representatives.
- Strong communication skills help them convey programme objectives, gather feedback and build professional relationships to accomplish goals.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the District Coordinators will:
- Lead the District-level team, and ensure a coordinated approach to all components in the district and resolve issues or problems.
- Work with the District Government and other stakeholders to develop annual plans for activities under each component, and to build capacity in reconstruction planning.
- Lead communication and stakeholder engagement activities with district government, civil society and private sector
- Ensure the timely submission of financial and operational reports
- Participate in program review meetings.
- Perform other duties as required by the programme
Qualification
- At least 5 years’ experience in infrastructure-related rural development in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, including capacity building, and institutional strengthening and delivery of infrastructure.
- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges of post-earthquake reconstruction
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage competing priorities.
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities often within a required timeframe.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, Hindi is essential.
