About the Role
Pratham is seeking District Coordinators to support the implementation of its government partnership program in Assam. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen foundational learning outcomes by working closely with District, Block, and Cluster-level officials, teachers, and school stakeholders.
The role requires field engagement, training support, and program monitoring, making it ideal for individuals who are passionate about education, capacity building, and government partnership models.
Key Responsibilities
Government & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a liaison with District and Block Administration to ensure smooth program execution.
- Conduct regular meetings, training sessions, and review discussions with district officials.
- Share program reports and escalate challenges requiring government support.
Program Implementation & Training
- Collaborate with state leadership for effective planning and execution at district/block levels.
- Actively participate in Pratham-led trainings to strengthen understanding of the TaRL (Teaching at the Right Level) approach.
- Provide on-site pedagogical support to teachers, including classroom observation and guidance.
- Support and facilitate teacher trainings; act as a Master Trainer during capacity-building sessions.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Travel to schools and project sites to identify challenges, provide solutions, and ensure course corrections.
- Ensure timely data collection, analysis, and dissemination across decision-making levels.
- Document field-level developments, share insights with the project team, and contribute to program reports.
- Support cross-district collaboration by traveling to other locations when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s in Education, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience: 1–2 years in education programs, preferably in foundational learning or classroom support roles.
- Prior experience in working with government systems is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of early grade learning, foundational literacy and numeracy.
- Excellent facilitation and teacher-training skills.
- Languages: Fluency in the local language is required; ability to report in Assamese, English, or Hindi.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and familiarity with data systems.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across districts/blocks for program implementation.
