Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Discipline Design Leader in Chennai to oversee budget execution, QCD performance, QRQC, and design reuse within a major automotive project.

You will mentor discipline designers, drive efficiency plans, and collaborate with the Engineering Manager, the R&D Technical Project Leader, and cross‑functional teams to align budget, schedule and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Budget execution for the Discipline Name within the project and alignment with the project budget and discipline guidelines.
• Lead Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the discipline within the project.
• QRQC management and corrective action planning for major technical issues.
• Drive design solutions and reuse within the assigned project.
• Mentor and develop the discipline design team and ensure efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager, Discipline Team Leader, and R&D leaders to align budget, design execution, quality control and timelines.
