Overview

Role Purpose The Disability Support Worker role at CPA exists to provide high-quality, person-centered support to people with disabilities. You will empower clients to live as independently as possible, helping them achieve their goals and supporting day-to-day wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.

About The Clients

CPA are seeking a Disability Support Worker to support clients in our Lifestyles Home & Community Service across the Northern Beaches area. At CPA, we support clients with a varying range of disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy, as well as other intellectual and physical conditions. Ranging in age between early adulthood and more mature clients, we empower them to get out and be involved in the community, giving them the platform to make their own decisions and choices.

Role Overview

Your role is focused on providing support to clients out in the community. You will make a meaningful difference through supporting clients by taking them out and accompanying them with day-to-day responsibilities such as appointments or shopping, as well as other activities that they are interested in doing. You will also provide personal care to clients in a respectful and dignified manner, administer medication, and support clients to move around the house through manual handling and the use of specialised equipment such as hoists. You will document and monitor client wellbeing, and collaborate effectively with other CPA staff to maintain a supportive team environment.
