Must have Skills:- Strong UX Design Director or above profile
- 12+ YOE in UX Design / Product Design for well-known, high traffic Products
- Recent 6+ YOE should be in a Service Companies or Design Studios, working in a leadership role
- Must be a Director or above position in a Design studio or Top Services Company
- Must be leading a team of Managers, and should have 5+ YOE in Team management
- Strong portfolio with multiple case studies showcasing UX Design & UX Research for well-known, high-traffic Products
- Must be from a Well-known Service Companies, Design Studios, or Agencies (Must have strong Services experience)

Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs the Director - Experience Design, you will play a pivotal role as part of the core management team of the organization. This outward-facing role requires extensive interaction with clients, CXOs, and management-level professionals in the industry. Your primary focus will be translating client requirements into impactful UX strategies that deliver measurable ROI and significant value to clients. This role will also lead the entire design team across multiple locations, ensuring seamless collaboration, innovation, and consistent delivery of excellence. It demands a deep understanding of design science, UX innovation, and business strategy to create impactful solutions and drive company growth.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with clients and internal design leaders to define a UX-driven product vision and execute strategies that enhance engagement and align with business goals.
- Foster strategic relationships with CXO-level and senior management professionals to establish the company as the premier choice in the design industry.
- Utilize a deep understanding of design science to create data-informed, research-driven solutions.
- Identify and recommend AI opportunities to streamline processes, improve product features, and optimize user experiences while maintaining ethical practices.
- Set industry benchmarks by fostering a culture of design excellence and innovation.
Client Engagement and Value Creation:
- Represent the company in business development efforts, including pitches, proposals, and client presentations.
- Engage in high-stakes discussions with CXOs and senior management to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and drive business value.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Facilitate regular client meetings to align objectives, review progress, and refine strategies based on feedback and market trends, driving measurable business outcomes.
- Drive account continuity, secure repeat business, and expand engagement opportunities.
Evangelizing UX:
- Advocate for UX by speaking at industry events and teaching at forums.
- Publish thought leadership content, including monthly blog posts and case studies.
- Conduct workshops and sessions with client leadership teams to align design strategies with organizational goals.
- Mentor young talent in design schools and lead masterclasses to inspire and educate the next generation of design leaders.
Team Development and Organizational Growth:
- Lead, mentor, and grow the design team across locations, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Develop learning opportunities for team members, ensuring professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Stay at the forefront of UX trends, tools, and practices to keep the team ahead of the curve.
Project Delivery and Management:
- Oversee the execution of projects across locations, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery while working closely with project managers to align goals.
- Establish and implement robust process controls, including feedback loops, time tracking, and adherence to design standards.
- Optimize team utilization and engagement.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration among designers, developers, project managers, and client teams for seamless project execution.
Ideal Candidate:Educational Background:
- Master’s or equivalent degree in a design-related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 12+ years in UX design, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven track record of delivering complex design projects and managing large, distributed teams.
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement experience, including CXOs and senior executives.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and prototyping software.
- Expertise in designing and facilitating workshops and design strategy sessions.
- In-depth knowledge of design science, leveraging research, data, and user insights to inform strategies.
- Experience identifying and integrating AI solutions into design and product strategies.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate design strategies and solutions to CXOs and senior executives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with executives and clients.
- Promote seamless team collaboration across locations by fostering a culture of transparency, inclusivity, and psychological safety, ensuring a politics-free and high-trust work environment.
