Salesforce is seeking a Director, Technical Consulting to join our Global Delivery Centre. You will lead the Architects’ Practice, scale professional services delivery across the globe, and guide technical architects on AI-driven implementations for Salesforce Industries Clouds and multi-cloud engagements.

The role requires deep expertise in integration, security, data architecture, and Industry Cloud platforms, plus strong customer leadership to deliver high CSAT and business value.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience leading Salesforce technical consulting projects.
• Expertise in Salesforce Industries Cloud, Sales/Service/Experience Cloud, and Vlocity OmniStudio.

Responsibilities

• Plan capacity, hiring, training, and mentoring Technical Architects and guide their CTA journey.
• Advise clients on rationalizing and deploying Enterprise AI Architecture to drive business value.
• Contribute to community knowledge base, evolving AI-First Delivery & Engineering methodology.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and clients to architect technology solutions.
• Lead Enterprise Architecture and Governance for enterprise-level engagements with Stakeholders and Architects.

Role Overview

Salesforce is currently seeking a Director, Technical Consulting (in the Architects’ Practice) to join our Global Delivery Centre (GDC) team. We are looking for an experienced professional services leader who has experience in scaling professional services delivery centers across the world. The Director, Technical Consulting role plays a meaningful part in enabling, deploying, and building the careers of our technical architects team.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be responsible for planning capacity, hiring, training, and mentoring our Technical Architects, as well as guide them on their CTA journey and their upskilling path across modern AI platforms.


• Serve as a trusted advisor to the client, guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies and Enterprise AI Architecture that drive increased business value.


• Identify and lead internal critical initiatives to grow the Industries Architects’ consulting practice; serving as an active contributor to the community’s overall knowledge base and expertise, specifically driving the evolution of an AI-First Delivery & Engineering methodology within the practice.


• Work closely on projects with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs.


• Lead Enterprise Architecture and Governance for an enterprise-level customer engagement. Serve as a trusted advisor to the client driving conversations with their Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders that shape the architectural vision, integrate scalable predictive/generative AI environments, and establish a program architectural roadmap.


• Lead functional and technical workshops. Demonstrate leadership skills in designing, delivering, testing, and deploying.


• Lead a project team of developers focused on driving optimized solutions for our clients leveraging Salesforce Industries Clouds, ensuring teams leverage developer assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery and enforce platform security.


• Ensure the success of these teams while securing the highest CSAT and business outcomes, focusing on Performance Evaluation & ROI by collaborating with customers to establish evaluation frameworks that measure AI performance and business value.


• Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party stakeholders.


• Establish trust with the customer’s leadership, promoting and/or implementing best practices with SFI and Salesforce.


• Highlight and manage risk areas in the solution in a proactive manner, and commit to seeing an issue through to completion.

Minimum Requirements

• 18+ years of experience leading Salesforce technical consulting projects.


• Strong application design skills combined with strong data, integration, and security architecture skills.


• Expertise in one or multiples of → Salesforce Industries Cloud, Sales/Service/Experience Cloud, and Vlocity OmniStudio, as well as familiarity with Agentforce.


• Expertise in one or multiple domains of → Financial Services, Health & Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Automotive, Retail and Consumer Goods, etc.
