Position Summary:

To help drive this next chapter, we're seeking a strategic and innovative Director, Software Engineering, to lead our Salesforce Customer Experience Engineering organization. This role is responsible for defining and executing the technology vision, engineering strategy, and delivery roadmap for Salesforce-based customer service platforms. As a people leader, you will build and develop high-performing engineering teams while driving modernization, AI adoption, operational excellence, and scalable customer experience solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and evolve engineering roadmaps for Salesforce customer experience platforms that support business and customer experience objectives.
• Align technology roadmaps with business goals and customer experience objectives.
• Own departmental priorities, budgets, and outcomes with minimal oversight.
• Drive innovation through AI, automation, and emerging customer engagement technologies.
• Partner with Product, Operations, Architecture, Security, and Enterprise Technology teams to deliver business value.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers, technical leaders, and high-performing engineering teams while cultivating future leaders across the organization.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Drive talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and operational excellence across the organization.
• Oversee the design, development, deployment, and support of Salesforce solutions.
• Ensure platform scalability, availability, security, and compliance.
• Lead modernization efforts across Salesforce and integrated platforms.
• Drive Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement across engineering teams.
• Establish governance and release management processes to ensure quality and reliability
• Drive adoption of Salesforce AI capabilities, including Agent force and Prompt Builder.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve agent productivity and customer experiences.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and create strategic roadmaps for future innovation.
• Champion AI-enabled automation and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

• 14-18 years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Proven experience managing and developing technical teams of individual contributors.
• Demonstrated ability to own and execute departmental strategy with minimal oversight.
• Strong experience with Salesforce DevOps practices, including release management and deployment governance tools such as Copado.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce AI capabilities including Agentforce and Prompt Builder, or equivalent AI‑powered CRM technologies.
• Extensive experience leading enterprise‑scale Salesforce initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience operating within Agile software development environments.
