Job summary

Alcon Laboratories India Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru seeks a Director, Quality Management Systems to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of QMS across the enterprise. The role partners with sites and functions to drive regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement in line with global standards.

You will oversee SOPs, training programs, and Quality Information Systems, shaping quality culture, resource planning, and strategic initiatives to ensure data integrity

Responsibilities

• Contribute to leadership of the harmonization and standardization of QMS, executing departmental strategies that drive compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with sites and stakeholders across all organizational levels to ensure alignment of QMS initiatives with company objectives and business priorities.
• Monitor industry trends, Health Authority expectations, and Notified Body requirements, translating emerging standards into business processes, quality strategies, and organizational capabilities.
• Activate Quality Information Systems and Training programs, ensuring a robust, scalable, and sustainable quality management framework that supports operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Operationalize departmental priorities, allocate resources, and make key decisions regarding budgets, projects, and strategic initiatives to achieve quality and business objectives.
• Build organizational capability through leadership, strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, effective communication, and development of high-performing teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen quality processes, enhance operational effectiveness, and support a culture of compliance and accountability.
• All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following SOPs, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.

The Director, Quality Management Systems (QMS) (Management Path), is primarily responsible for driving the development , implement ation , and maintenance of Quality Management Systems procedures and activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting continuous improvement. This role has significant influence on the QMS team, collaborating with other departments to achieve objectives.
