The role involves designing scalable systems, mentoring engineers, driving agile processes, and collaborating with product, design, and leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3–4 years in engineering leadership.
• Proven experience architecting and building scalable, production‑grade software systems from 0→1.
• Deep expertise in full‑stack development, distributed systems, and software architecture.
• Strong hands‑on experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and modern cloud‑native application development.
• Strong experience with AWS, containerized applications, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap for Ctruh's AI, 3D, XR, and cloud platforms.
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, AI/ML services, and real-time graphics platforms.
• Remain hands‑on by writing production‑quality code, reviewing critical pull requests, debugging complex systems, and solving mission‑critical engineering challenges.
• Lead the development of scalable backend services, modern frontend applications, AI‑powered products, WebGL/Three.js workflows, and cloud‑native infrastructure.
• Establish engineering best practices covering architecture, code quality, testing, documentation, deployment, observability, and security.
• Build, mentor, and scale a world‑class engineering organization by hiring exceptional talent and fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership.
• Drive agile execution, engineering planning, sprint delivery, release management, incident response, and continuous process improvement.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, AI, Sales, and Leadership teams to shape product roadmaps, evaluate technical feasibility, and translate business objectives into scalable engineering solutions.
• Lead technical discussions with customers, partners, and strategic stakeholders when required.
• Own engineering operations including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, logging, developer productivity, reliability, and platform scalability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and continuously improve engineering standards, development frameworks, and system performance across the organization.

About The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead the technology vision, architecture, and engineering execution behind Ctruh's AI, 3D, and XR platform. This is a unique leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building products as much as building teams—combining deep technical expertise with strong engineering leadership.

Unlike a traditional management role, you'll remain deeply involved in coding, system architecture, and solving complex technical challenges while leading high-performing engineering teams. As the organization scales, this role offers a clear path toward becoming the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), taking ownership of the company's long-term technology strategy.

What You'll Own

• Define and drive the long-term technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap for Ctruh's AI, 3D, XR, and cloud platforms.
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, AI/ML services, and real-time graphics platforms.
