SMC Squared India is building a Global Capability Center in Hyderabad and seeks a Director to drive Analytics & BI strategy. The role focuses on dashboards, reporting, and actionable insights supporting commercial, operational, and product goals.

Responsibilities include defining metrics standards, leading dashboard ecosystems (Power BI, Tableau), and partnering with executive stakeholders to enable data-driven decision making. Strong leadership and financial services domain experience preferred.

We're building new Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad for a fast-growing global wealth & investment Firm and looking for a Director to drive Analytics & BI strategy.

Location: Hyderaba

I. Strategy, Governance, and Vision

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Analytics function, focused on delivering high-impact dashboards, reporting solutions, and actionable insights that directly support commercial, operational, and product goal
• Establish and enforce enterprise standards for business metrics and KPIs. Ensure consistency and clarity in how metrics are defined, surfaced, and consumed across dashboards and reporting layer
• Lead the design of scalable reporting frameworks and dashboard ecosystems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) that enable intuitive, reliable, and performant access to business insight
• Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, Product, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teamstranslating business questions into clear reporting, visualization, and insight delivery strategie

II. Dashboarding, Insights & Delivery Excellence

Lead the design and delivery of high-quality dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights. Establish standards for visualization best practices, usability, and storytelli ng.Drive a culture of insight-driven decision-making by delivering not just reports, but meaningful analysis and recommendations that influence business outcom es.Own the final-stage data consumption layer (BI/reporting layer), ensuring that business users have access to accurate, timely, and easy-to-use data produc ts.Define and enforce standards for data accuracy, dashboard validation, and reporting consistency. Ensure all outputs are reliable, auditable, and aligned with governed metri cs.

III. Leadership & Business Enablement

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of BI developers and analysts. Foster a culture of business impact, strong communication, and data storytelling.Drive the strategy to democratize data by enabling business users with intuitive dashboards, curated data sets, and guided self-service capabilities.Partner closely with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams to ensure seamless flow of data into the BI layer and alignment between data models and business reporting needs.Work directly with business teams to improve data literacy, ensure adoption of BI tools, and maximize the impact of dashboards and insights across the organizat ion.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Reporting, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership or management role.Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Experience building dashboards and reporting layers at scale.
• Platform: Experience working with modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) and consuming data from enterprise data warehouses.
• Visualization & Insights: Strong expertise in data visualization best practices, dashboard design, and translating data into actionable business insights.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and hire high-performing BI teams and effectively partner with executive stakeholders.
• Domain: Solid preference for experience in Financial Services or Wealth Management, understanding transactional data and compliance requirements.
