Job summary

Capital One India is seeking a Director, HRBP to deliver people initiatives and talent strategy in a high-velocity, collaborative environment. You will partner with senior executives to drive organizational design, workforce planning and leadership development, while ensuring governance of HR processes and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Consult with senior executives and HR partner groups to drive business success with a HR strategy aligned to organizational needs.
• Lead delivery of core HR processes across client areas, including performance management and staffing.
• Define talent strategy aligned with business objectives and manage strategic workforce planning and succession.
• Oversee talent-related deliverables, including hiring, retention, and leadership development.
• Lead enterprise-wide HR projects and partner with peers to create systemic HR solutions.
• Provide organizational and job design expertise in collaboration with senior leadership.

Capital One is looking for a Director, HRBP to deliver on people initiatives and talent strategy. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong relationship building, influencing, communication, and problem solving skills; who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative, and values-oriented team.

• Consult with the senior executives, other HRBPs and HR partner groups (people analytics, recruiting, compensation, associate relations, learning & development, etc.) to drive business success by providing thought leadership, and direction, accountable for delivering a HR strategy that is aligned with the needs of the organization.
• Consult with client to deliver an HR strategy that is aligned with the needs of the business Manage the delivery and acceptance of core HR processes (i.e. Associate Satisfaction, Performance Management, Staffing, Leadership Development and Change Management) across client areas
• Lead senior executives in translating the business strategy into a talent strategy that embeds and reinforces a culture where associates are seen, heard, valued and have an equitable opportunity to succeed.
• Embedded within the LOB senior leadership team, HRBPs are accountable for delivering and leading all talent-related deliverables including:
• Defining a talent strategy that supports business strategy/objectives
• Strategic workforce planning, including succession planning
• Recruiting/retention strategies, including talent competition marketplace assessments to effectively compete and motivate talent to achieve business objectives
• Assessing Human Capital risks for the business and developing remediation strategies as appropriate
• Leveraging key trends and/or gaps to incorporate within strategic decisions and talent plan
• Assessing skills gaps and partnering with the business
• Managing employment practice risk weighing short and long term impacts, including Associate Relation mitigation strategies, staffing/co-employment strategies, etc.
• Influencing the prioritization of the work that will drive the highest value for your client groups.
• Provide executive coaching and advice on key areas such as leadership, teamwork, org design, strategy, etc.
• Create and support business outcomes with HR programs, initiatives and strategies leading to a market competitive advantage.
• Develop innovative and creative solutions with a willingness to push and challenge for transformative work.
• Lead and participate in enterprise-wide HR project work, partnering with peers across the organization to create and share systemic solutions to HR challenges.
• Partner with senior leadership and other HR professionals to provide organizational and job design expertise

Basic Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s Degree or PGDM Full-time
• At least 15 years of client facing experience OR at least 15 years of consulting experience OR a combination
• At least 15 years of experience in Human Resources

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or coaching certification
• 17+ years of client facing experience or 17+ years of consulting experience or a combination
• 17+ years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting
• 7+ years of people management experience
