Overview
This position is required to lead the Finance function and will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the organization. This role will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing, managing/controlling all financial-related activities of the organization and maintaining strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders. The position will provide both operational and programmatic support to the organization, including direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, budget management, costs, negotiations and statutory compliances.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions of the organization.
- Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer in finalization of the annual budgets. Provide the CEO with an operating budget & work with the CEO to ensure programmatic success through cost analysis support and compliance to all programmatic requirements.
- Develop standard operating processes and ensure adherence to the same.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgeting and consolidation and reporting of the financials. Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, program wise spends, reports to funding agencies, etc.
- Monitor organizational and contract/grant budgets.
- Oversee all negotiations and purchasing for the programs and payroll activity for the employees.
- Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.
- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and prevent leakages. Conduct internal audits.
- Ensure compliance to rules / governance of financial reporting.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory compliances as per guidelines of the statutory authorities. Ensure filing of all returns to the government and statutory authorities per guidelines.
- Work with auditors on completion of audit within timelines, review/closure of the audit points and ensure unqualified reports.
- Managing & monitoring the vendors associated with Swades & ensuring timely procurement of required resources for all the departments.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with all key external stakeholders.
- The role entails leading and managing the SSE process together with the team.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum 15 - 20 years of experience in finance & accounts
- CA/ICWA & MBA Finance

- Strong at handling IT software/ERP system
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations

- Five days travel to the field per month
