Position || Director - Finance

Purpose

The Director - Finance will serve as thestrategic financial architect of the University, responsible for financialsustainability, governance, regulatory compliance, capital planning, andinstitutional risk management.

Reporting to the COO and working closely with the Founder’s Office andBoard, the Director Finance will build financial systems, ensure operationaldiscipline, and enable long-term institutional growth.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Sustainability

• Developlong-term financial models aligned with institutional growth
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and scenarioplanning
• Ensure financial sustainability across academicprograms
• Strategy for Identifying, assessing, andmitigating financial risk

2. Governance, Compliance & Controls

• Ensurestatutory compliance (University regulations, taxation, audit norms)
• Overseeinternal and external audits
• Establishstrong financial controls and policies
• Maintainrisk registers and compliance dashboards

3. Capital & Infrastructure Planning

• Managetreasury and working capital
• Supportfundraising and endowment financial governance

4. Financial Operations & Systems

• Overseeaccounting, MIS, payroll, and procurement
• Implementand streamline ERP/finance systems
• Ensuretimely reporting to leadership and Board
• Createtransparency in financial reporting

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Buildand mentor a high-performing finance team
• DevelopSOPs and financial playbooks

Requirements
