Brief Job Description

- Conduct statutory audits in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with audit teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of audit procedures.
- Assist in the verification of fixed assets and reconciliation of inventory.
- Manage all aspects of tax audit processes, including assessment and scrutiny related work.
- Ensure timely filing of TDS returns and payments, including quarterly returns and monthly payments.
- Coordinate with authorities and facilitate the filing of Form 60 as required.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist in finalization of accounting entries.
- Provide support for internal audits and assist in addressing audit findings.
- Oversee renewal of insurance policies and facilitate quotes for various insurance types.
- Manage documentation and follow-ups related to insurance claims.
- Liaise with insurance companies regarding additions, deletions, and relocations of stores.
- Facilitate foreign remittances and provide financial data for bank-related processes.
- Prepare UFCE declarations and assist in yearly stock audits conducted by banks.
- Support credit rating processes by providing necessary details and documentation.
- Review depreciation calculations and manage entries for asset write-offs and sales.
- Assist auditors in fixed asset verification and creation of asset codes.
- Update fixed asset registers for store relocations or closures and handle related entries.
- Collaborate with IT/PWC for new report creation and address system issues.
- Prepare stock statements and undertake any other tasks assigned by seniors.
Skill Required
- Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in direct tax and statutory audit.
- Preferably Inter CA or Semi-Qualified CA with a strong understanding of taxation laws.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, with the ability to extract and analyze financial data.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
