Job summary

Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Digital Technology Advisor - Data & Information Architecture to lead data engineering efforts, model data structures, and drive governance and standards. You will collaborate with stakeholders, guide a team of engineers, and design scalable data solutions across the Data Office.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, clear communication, and delivering improvements to data architecture while partnering with cross-functional teams on complex data initiatives.

Qualifications

• 12 years’ experience in data engineering, including 4+ years in data architecture or modeling.
• High level of proficiency with SQL and data modeling.
• Deep understanding of code review and GitHub/version control.
• Experience with ERPs such as SAP or Oracle is desirable.
• Proven problem-solving ability and data technology knowledge.

Digital Technology Advisor - Data & Information Architecture

Partner with the Best As a Digital Technology Advisor - Data & Information Architecture, you will be responsible for technical leadership in a diverse team of data professionals, delivering data solutions to business stakeholders and collaborating with peers to drive improvement across the Data Office as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Strive to understand customer requirements and create and adjust data models accordingly.
• Design and engineer data models and data transformations.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of data engineers.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of standards and conventions in the data organization.
• Communicate ideas and designs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Explain the thinking behind design choices and approach technical criticism and suggestions with humility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• A minimum 12 years’ experience in data engineering, including a minimum of 4 years of experience in data architecture or modeling.
• High level of proficiency with SQL.
• High level of proficiency with data modeling.
• Deep understanding of code review/GitHub/version control.
• Experience with ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, etc. desired
• Proven problem-solving ability.
• Understanding of data technologies (e.g. Apache Airflow, Databricks, etc.).
