Job summary

Albemarle is hiring a Digital & AI Governance Lead in Bengaluru on a hybrid basis, three days in the office. You will drive AI governance, SOX 404 compliance, and ITGC testing while partnering with Legal, IT, Audit and Compliance to mature governance across digital and AI risk domains.

The role demands 8–10+ years in IT compliance or audit, strong knowledge of COBIT/COSO/NIST CSF and familiarity with GDPR/CCPA data privacy considerations in AI contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, accounting, law, or related field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in IT compliance, GRC or audit roles.
• Demonstrated SOX 404 compliance experience including ITGC testing and audit coordination.
• Deep knowledge of COBIT, COSO, NIST CSF, ISO 27001; familiarity with AI governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate AI Risk and Ethics Review Board and coordinate with Legal, InfoSec, IT, Audit and Compliance.
• Monitor AI regulatory requirements (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, SEC guidance) and translate into internal policy and governance checkpoints.
• Lead IT compliance strategy including ITGC, SOX 404, CO BIT, COSO and ISO 27001; drive remediation and reporting.
• Partner with IT, Data & Analytics, Legal, Finance and business stakeholders to improve governance maturity across IT and AI risk domains.
