Job summary

Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University (SGTU) in Gurugram operates a hospital dialysis unit seeking a dedicated Dialysis Technician. You will provide safe, efficient haemodialysis under Nephrology supervision, operate dialysis machines, monitor patients, and ensure infection-control and patient-safety standards are followed.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in a hospital or dialysis centre and close coordination with nephrologists and nurses to support the clinical team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hospital/dialysis centre experience
• Adherence to infection-control protocols and patient-safety standards
• Maintains accurate dialysis records and treatment charts
• Coordinates with nephrologists, nurses and other healthcare staff
• Operates and troubleshoots dialysis equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform hemodialysis procedures as per prescribed treatment plans and hospital protocols.
• Prepare and check dialysis machines, RO system, dialysate, consumables, and other required equipment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition throughout the dialysis procedure.
• Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatment safely.
• Assist in vascular access care, including AV fistula, graft, and catheter management as per protocol.
• Identify and promptly report complications or adverse events during dialysis.
• Maintain accurate dialysis records, treatment charts, and patient documentation.
• Follow infection prevention and control practices, including proper disinfection of machines and dialysis areas.
• Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting of dialysis machines and equipment.
• Ensure availability and proper storage of dialysis consumables and emergency supplies.
• Assist the clinical team during emergencies in the dialysis unit.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of the dialysis unit.
• Follow hospital policies, SOPs, NABH requirements, and patient-safety standards.
• Coordinate effectively with Nephrologists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
